This means residents live in a building with historic status. Owners and investors receive a variable tax break on their property tax as a result.
The Brown Building has some great features. The original building consisted of 8 floors, and in later dates two more floors were added. Those original 8 floors still have the terrazzo floors giving residents a feel of the era in which the building provided some notable Texans space to office. The addition of the top two floors have stained concrete flooring. The condos have exposed ceilings giving it that urban loft feel. And best of all is the location. Located at 8th and Congress, you are a stones throw from the State Capital and can easily call downtown Austin home.
